A large part of the grievances of different regions and provinces in federal countries is derived from their constitution and sometimes it comes from different interpretations of this law. The country of Iraq as one of the unique federal examples that has only one region called the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which after the approval of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Iraq in 2005, is facing such problems until now. The basic question is, according to the constitution of Iraq, what are the problems facing the Kurdistan region for participation, and what solutions are there to solve these problems? With a descriptive and analytical method and in order to provide a solution to this problem, this article examines the Iraqi constitution and interprets its relevant principles, and with a comparative look at similar cases in other federal countries, provides a solution for the participation of the Kurdistan Region in the power structure. The federal legislature has revised the constitution and the structure of the Iraqi Federal Supreme Court.
