Abstract
The right to enjoy social security is one of the basic rights of citizens. Lawyers are no exception to this rule. Therefore, laws have been developed to protect lawyers. The history of establishing a fund to help lawyers goes back to the year 1350 and the Law on Establishing a Cooperative Fund. This fund was dissolved and replaced by the support fund for lawyers and judicial workers approved in 1355. The existing regulations only provide for long-term support including: retirement, disability and death, and other social security support including medical and treatment services, unemployment insurance, marriage allowance, family allowance and pregnancy assistance for lawyers. There is no precedent. Lawyers are deprived of many basic social security supports. Therefore, in this article, after examining the general principles and protections of social security, special protections for lawyers are also studied. The result of this research is that the social security system of lawyers has not been formed based on the general principles of the social security system. In addition to silence and many uncertainties, the regulations of the fund do not include many social security supports. Therefore, this law has many shortcomings that require the amendment of the existing regulations.
