Government employees, as providers of public services to individuals, may experience verbal violence in the work environment. Considering the adverse effects that this violence has in the public sector in terms of its impact on the provision of public services and the credibility of government institutions in the eyes of the public, in this article, the approach of the Iranian legal system to verbal violence towards the employees of government institutions has been investigated, and in the sections Its triad, respectively, the concept and scope of verbal violence against government employees, the mechanisms of the administrative law system in dealing with verbal violence against government employees, and finally the mechanisms of the criminal law system in dealing with verbal violence against them, have been examined. . The findings of this research show that "verbal violence" is not defined in any of Iran's laws and regulations, and its examples are not clearly stated. In addition, despite the fact that verbal violence occurs in Iran's government institutions like any other work environment, but the mechanisms of Iran's administrative law system are insufficient to protect the country's administrative system and moderate the adverse effects of such violence. Finally, Iran's criminal law system also has major weaknesses in dealing with verbal violence, and the guarantee of criminal executions against verbal violence consistent with crimes is insufficient and lacks the necessary deterrence.
